Privacy Policy for GeoProCam

Effective Date: [Dátum, pl. February 23, 2026]

1. Introduction

Welcome to GeoProCam (hereinafter referred to as „the App”), operated by [Kidologic Ltd] („we”, „us”, or „our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Key Privacy Principle: GeoProCam is a „local-first” application. We do not own, operate, or maintain central database servers to collect or harvest your personal data. Your project data, photos, and location history are stored entirely on your local device and the personal cloud storage services (Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive) that you explicitly connect to the App.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

To provide you with our engineering, mapping, and field-inspection features, the App requests access to certain device capabilities and personal data:

A. Precise Location Data (GPS)

  • What we collect: The App requests access to your device’s precise location (latitude, longitude, altitude).
  • How we use it: We use this data to display your position on the map, stamp coordinates on the photos you take, calculate distances/azimuths, and provide localized weather data via third-party APIs.
  • Storage: Location data is saved locally on your device within your project files (SQLite database, KML/GeoJSON files, and image metadata). We do not track you in the background unless explicitly required for an active track-logging feature.

B. Camera and Photo Library

  • What we collect: The App requires access to your device’s camera and photo library.
  • How we use it: To allow you to take field photos, attach them to specific geographic points, and save them to your device. Photos may include EXIF metadata containing your location and time of capture.

C. Local Storage and Files

  • What we collect: The App reads and writes files (e.g., KML, GeoJSON, XLSX, JPG) and maintains a local database (SQLite) on your device.
  • How we use it: To import engineering plans, export reports, and save all your field logs, inspections, and project features locally so the App can function offline.

D. Cloud Account Information (Google Drive & Microsoft OneDrive)

  • What we collect: If you choose to use our cloud-sync features, the App requires you to log in via Google Sign-In or Microsoft OAuth. We may receive basic profile information (e.g., email address, profile photo URL) provided by these services.
  • How we use it: To authenticate your identity with your chosen cloud provider. We strictly use the authentication tokens to read, create, and modify project files (like Excel sheets and Photos) directly within your own Google Drive or OneDrive account.
  • Google API Services User Data Policy: GeoProCam’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Third-Party Services and APIs

While we do not collect your data on our servers, the App integrates with certain third-party services that may process your data according to their own privacy policies:

  • Google Maps: Used to render map layers and project features. (Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Google Drive API & Microsoft Graph API (OneDrive): Used solely for syncing your project data to your own cloud storage.
  • Open-Meteo API: The App sends your current coordinates (latitude/longitude) to Open-Meteo to fetch real-time weather data. Open-Meteo does not store this data. (Privacy Policy: open-meteo.com)
  • RevenueCat: Used to manage premium subscriptions and in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect anonymous purchase identifiers. (Privacy Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy)

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. Your data is only „shared” in the following ways:

  • With your chosen Cloud Providers: When you use the sync feature, your files are directly uploaded to your Google or Microsoft accounts.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

5. Data Security

We value your trust in providing us your information. The App utilizes standard security protocols (such as HTTPS/TLS) when communicating with third-party APIs (like Google, Microsoft, and Open-Meteo). However, remember that no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for securing your device and your Google/Microsoft accounts.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since we do not store your data on our servers, data retention is entirely under your control:

  • You can delete any project, photo, or field log directly within the App, which will remove it from your device’s local database.
  • To delete synced data, you must navigate to your Google Drive or OneDrive account and delete the files manually.
  • If you uninstall the App, all local data stored within the App’s directory will be permanently deleted by your operating system.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for professional engineering and surveying use. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to take necessary actions.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the „Effective Date” at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
